Keirann Nixon, Registered Psychotherapist
Healing doesn’t follow a straight line—and you don’t have to walk it alone. I offer a warm, holistic, and integrative approach to psychotherapy that honors your whole story and the context of your life. Drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches and guided by curiosity, compassion, and the occasional use of humor, I meet you exactly where you are and walk alongside you through both the steady and uncertain moments of change
About Me

Education and Credentials
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC). I hold a Master of Arts in Theology, Spiritual Care, and Psychotherapy from Martin Luther University College.
My Therapy Style
My path to becoming a psychotherapist was not a straight line. It involved twists, turns, and moments of uncertainty—experiences that deeply shape how I show up in this work. Because of that, I understand that healing rarely follows a clear or predictable path. Wherever you find yourself right now, I’m willing to walk alongside you through the ups and downs, the questions, and the unexpected turns that come with meaningful change.
In our work together, I take a holistic, person-centred approach. I don’t believe we operate in a vacuum, so we’ll explore the many layers of your experience—your relationships, history, environment, beliefs, and the ways they intersect. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapies, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). If spirituality or faith is something you’d like to explore, I also offer spiritually integrated therapy in a way that is respectful, collaborative, and led by you.
I strive to create a space that feels warm, grounded, and authentic. I incorporate humor when appropriate and meet you exactly where you are—no pressure to be anywhere else. My hope is that therapy feels like a place where you can show up fully, honestly, and at your own pace.
Outside of my work, I am married, share my home with two dogs, and live in Simcoe County. These parts of my life continue to remind me of the importance of connection, presence, and compassion—both in and beyond the therapy room.

Unique Offerings
I also offer pet-specific psychotherapy, supporting individuals and families navigating the unique emotional bonds, grief, and challenges that can arise in relationship with animals. If this is something you’re interested in exploring, please check out my human-animal bond page.
